An LGBTQ+ group called the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence attended the Los Angeles Angels Pride Night game on Wednesday, after a personal invite from the mayor.Anaheim Mayor Ashleigh Aitken invited the satirical ‘nun’ group to join her at the game following the group’s contention with the Los Angeles Dodgers back in May. “I’m inviting the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to join me for @Angels Pride Night at Anaheim Stadium on June 7,” Mayor Aitken tweeted. “Pride should be inclusive and like many, I was disappointed in the Dodgers' decision.”Based on their philanthropic work, the Sisters were slated to be honored with the Dodgers’ Community Hero Award at the ballclub’s Pride Night on June 16. Teenager identified after fatal pedestrian collision in San Jose The call reporting the body came in just before 3 p.m. The coroner responded to the scene near Gregory Street. At this time, SJPD does not know the cause of death. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death will proceed after the body has been recovered by the coroner.

Runaway San Lorenzo girl sought by police

Jazzlyn Harris, 13, was last seen near the 800 block of Bockman Road in San Lorenzo at about 11:50 a.m. on Tuesday. Bohannon Middle School is located at 800 Bockman Road. Teen identified in fatal pedestrian collision in San Jose Jazzlyn has long black braids and brown eyes, police said. She is about 5-foot-2 and 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray Nike jacket, blue denim shorts, and blue-and-orange Nike shoes. Police said she is familiar with public transportation and may have gone to West Oakland. She had money and an iPad with her. "We are all concerned about Jazzlyn's safety and are asking for your help to bring her home," ACSO said.
