Passenger Killed in Suspected DUI Crash on Glendora AvenueWEST COVINA, CA (April 25, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, a DUI crash on Valinda Avenue leads to the arrest of Jose Felix Tamayo-Juarez.The incident happened at around 12:05 a.m., at the intersection of Valinda Avenue and Glendora Avenue.According to reports, police responded to a single-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, police located a vehicle in the flood channel. The vehicle was occupied by two people.First responders declared the passenger inside the vehicle dead at the scene. A woman critically injured in an April collision in downtown San Jose died of her injuries after three weeks in a hospital, according to San Jose police.Police responded to reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle around 11:49 a.m. April 9 in the area of East Santa Clara and North 11th streets. Police said that the pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by the driver of a Toyota Camry, which had been turning left onto East Santa Clara Street from North 11th Street.The woman was taken to a hospital, where she died Monday, according to a police news release.
