NORAD Santa Tracker gets help from local company with adding new language translation

SAN DIEGO -- The famous North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) online Santa Tracker has added a new language to its site that is visited by millions of people every Christmas Eve.With the help of Interpreters Unlimited, a language services company with an office in Miramar, NORAD’s Santa tracker has added Korean to its list of languages. The Santa Tracker now has nine languages for visitors. “What started off really just being a few languages has now expanded,” said Shamus Sayed, Interpreters Unlimited Vice President. Millions of kids across the world will now be able to track Santa online in nine languages, some include English, Spanish, French, plus the newly added Korean language. “You’re doing it for the fun of doing it for the kids,” Sayed said. Two men were killed overnight in separate shootings in Thornton and Westminster that appear to have started with arguments in parking lots.The first shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. in the 8900 block of Harlan Street in Westminster, according to a Westminster Police Department news release. Officers found a man with a gunshot, and he was taken to a hospital where he later died.Police later learned another man was also at a hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds.Police believe several men were arguing with each other in a parking lot before shooting at each other.The second shooting happened a couple hours later about 12:50 a.m. in the 16000 block of Grant Street in Thornton.Thornton police reported in a news release there was a “disturbance” between two employees of an area business, and one man, identified as Victor Salazar-Guarache, 26, shot at a 22-year-old man.The 22-year-old was taken to hospital and died.Weld County deputies later located and arrested...Latest news
