(CNN) — Taylor Swift and actor Joe Alwyn have broken up after six years together.A source close to Taylor confirmed the news to CNN saying “Taylor and Joe broke up a few weeks ago. They simply grew apart and plan to remain friends.”CNN has reached out to Swift and Alwyn’s reps for comment. Entertainment Tonight was first to report the news.Swift, who is currently on her “Eras Tour,” and Alwyn were first linked romantically in 2016.The Grammy-winner and Alwyn managed to keep their relationship mostly under wraps, but in true Taylor Swift style, the singer dropped some Easter eggs about Alwyn through her music along the way.In January, Swift revealed on her Instagram that “Lavender Haze,” a track from her 2022 album “Midnights,” is about Alwyn, saying when you’re in a lavender haze of love, “you’ll do anything to stay there and not let people bring you down off of that cloud.”“Like my r...Healey to take ‘executive actions’ to protect abortion pill access

It has not been an easy season for Payton Pritchard. By his own admission, it’s been frustrating.“Obviously people know it’s been an up and down year emotionally and obviously physically now,” he said Sunday. The fourth-year guard and 2020 first-round pick was buried on the Celtics’ depth, the fourth guard in line after the offseason addition of Malcolm Brogdon. His opportunities have been scarce, often only coming in garbage time or when the C’s are shorthanded. Then over the last month came an injury that cost him 13 games. His time – at least one more in a Boston uniform – was still coming, though. Last Wednesday, the Celtics clinched the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. The final two regular-season games became mostly meaningless as the Celtics prioritized resting their regulars. But not for Pritchard, who saw it as another opportunity to prove himself. There is still discomfort in his injured heel, but it didn’t outweigh his desire to play. As he’s done all season, Pritchard...Haiti gang ambushes, kills 3 policemen as violence soars

LONDON (AP) — King Charles III plans to take a short cut and smoother ride to Westminster Abbey for his coronation, trimming the procession route his mother took in 1953 as he aims for a more modest event that will include some modern touches, Buckingham Palace said Sunday. The lower-key ceremony May 6 will still be steeped in ancient traditions and adorned with royal regalia from the Crown Jewels, but will also feature its own bespoke emoji, reflecting the first British crowning of the social media era. Queen Elizabeth II’s was the first coronation televised 70 years ago.In one break with tradition, Charles and Camilla, the queen consort, will roll out of Buckingham Palace in the horse-drawn gilded black Diamond Jubilee State Coach built for Elizabeth’s 60th anniversary. It has heat, air conditioning, power windows and a suspension system that will provide a comfier ride than his mother’s accommodations for her enthronement. PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — For more than five years, Larry Purtle and Ric Scaramella have been watching from their condominium people living across the Willamette River in makeshift cabins, complete with doors and windows. Some have solar panels, and all have a million-dollar view of downtown Portland.Nexstar's KOIN discovered the soil these cabins sit on is a sort of no-man's land in the middle of a modern city. From their windows, they can see "about nine structures," Scaramella said. "These are not tents. These are structures."The couple said they are concerned for the people living with no services and are worried there might be pollution going into the river. Since 2017, Scaramella estimates he’s called or complained to different government agencies “30, 40” times. Two different worldsThe cabins are hard to reach. They are isolated by the adjacent Union Pacific railyard. A KOIN reporter traveled there by boat to get a closer look, with hopes of speaking with people living in the sha...Showers and storms possible for some on Monday

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Limited breaks of sun this afternoon should be enough to push highs into the low to mid 70s. We'll continue a partly cloudy sky for the better part of the evening, but more clouds arrive later tonight. Overnight lows drop into the upper 50s by morning. There's a slight chance for showers or storms overnight, generally in the Hill Country.Tonight's forecastWe're still watching a disturbance that will drop toward Central Texas from the northwest late in the night or, more likely, during Monday morning.Still, even less than 24 hours out, there's considerable disagreement among our computer models about rain coverage and timing. That being said, there's enough of an indication to raise rainfall coverage to at least 50% for Monday with the potential for a few rounds of wet weather beginning in the morning, with the highest rain chances during the late afternoon into the early evening.Future radar potential for MondayThese rain chances arriving from the northwest have a h...Lynx have No. 2 pick in draft Monday with eye to future

The Lynx enter Monday’s WNBA draft in a different position with a different philosophy.Minnesota will pick No. 2 — its highest selection in years — and have an eye more toward the future than the immediate future. So while Minnesota’s current roster may look like one that would require a center or a point guard, making next year’s team as competitive as possible isn’t the primary concern. The Lynx are building toward the future.“You pick who is the best available,” ESPN analyst Rebecca Lobo said. “Even if Minnesota doesn’t necessarily have the need for that position this year, if that’s what’s best available, I would expect that’s what they take. And I think it’s also important when you look at teams and drafts, as much as you look at the needs for what they have this year, you also have to look at when contracts expire and what their needs might be in the immediate future.”And that appears to be the approach.
