TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- According to Troy City Council President Pro-Tempore, Thomas Casey, Troy’s City Clerk requested the appointment of Jason Schofield to the position of Clerk Assistant. You may remember Schofield plead guilty to 12 felony charges of voter fraud, about a year ago. O'FALLON, Mo. - A new gun range for law enforcement could soon be coming to O'Fallon, Missouri.City officials say a proposed 20-lane, 200-yard indoor firing range is needed for the expanding police department, which now has 121 officers. Former Nuggets player James Ray, who spent three years in Denver after the franchise drafted him fifth overall in 1980, died Tuesday due to complications from a surgery in Gainesville, Florida. Police in Seal Beach have concluded their investigation into the deaths of two people found inside a home Wednesday and have determined that the two were a son and his elderly disabled mother.The two were found around 8:30 a.m. at a home on the 600 block of Ocean Avenue.Police responded to the home after a caller from out of state reported that their brother was “having issues with their elderly mother.”Investigators have pieced together what led to the deaths and the incident appears likely to have been a murder-suicide.Police say the 65-year-old son was living with his 84-year-old mother at her home in Seal Beach. An Arizona man was rescued in a remote area in the Ventura County backcountry after being stranded for several days.The man, identified as a 65-year-old Phoenix resident, was found Tuesday, four days after he drove past a locked gate and into a secluded area with no cell service.According to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department, deputies from the Lockwood Valley station responded to a forest service trail gate in the Grade Valley area that was locked for the winter.These service trail gates are locked each year by the United States Forest Service to prevent motorists from getting stuck and stranded in winter storms.
