It was a coffee shop, an art gallery and a two-level “sanctuary” for yoga, dancing, drumming, meditation and the visual arts.Creators Space, a coffee house and arts hub in downtown St. Paul’s Lowertown neighborhood, has stopped serving coffee and announced it will shut its doors permanently on Oct. 31, the latest in a string of closures for venues popular with artists and everyday Lowertown residents.The arts-driven coffee house opened in 2018, the brain child of Melissa Dessart, who had left a career in the corporate world after 19 years to branch out on her own.Together with her husband Kevin, the two reclaimed some 34,000 square feet of space on two levels of a 134-year-old building — a former parking garage and furniture store at 218 E. STILLWATER, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- October marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Saratoga County and the Stillwater Police Department recognized the month by collecting cell phones for victims of domestic violence. The phones are essential to those in abusive situations where access to communication could be cut off. "During an emergency incident, they can call for help.” Cordani started the annual event in 2003, working with local businesses to collect cell phones. Those phones are given to advocacy groups. Over the last 20 years, 7,000 phones have been donated to victims of domestic violence. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Ghent man was arrested following an investigation into illegal narcotic sales in and around Saratoga Springs. Bayer was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the second degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree. COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Saturday. Akiem R.
