San Leandro: Man charged with misdemeanor manslaughter in 2022 fatal crash OAKLAND — Alameda County prosecutors have charged a 22-year-old man with a misdemeanor in connection with an October 2022 crash that killed a woman on Interstate 880, court records show.Gabriel Loya was charged with a single count of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in the death of Shirley Duran. The Oct. 24, 2022 crash occurred on I-880 in San Leandro, near Washington Avenue, and involved four vehicles.Police haven’t revealed why Loya is accused of criminal wrongdoing. Two-car rollover crash in Antioch kills 20-year-old woman ANTIOCH — A 20-year-old woman died Thursday when two cars crashed into each other and one of them rolled over, police said.Authorities on Friday identified her as Angela Fierro, of Antioch.The 4:50 p.m. crash at the intersection of Lone Tree Way and Clayburn Road caused one vehicle to roll over and ejected Fierro, Antioch police Sgt. Rob Green said in a statement. She died at the scene; it was not immediately clear if she was driving at the time of the crash.
