Brent Burns met with the media inside a nondescript locker room at Sharks Ice in San Jose last April and all but declared that time was running short for him to be a part of a Stanley Cup-contending team again.“It’s definitely tough when you lose three years not making the playoffs,” said Burns, who was 37 then. “I think everybody feels that way whether they’re young or older.”Just over a year later, Burns is right where he wants to be. Home Depot sees first annual sales decline in more than a decade as housing streak ebbs, rates jump After years of explosive growth during the pandemic, Home Depot’s revenue during the first quarter fell short of expectations and the company cut its profit and sales outlook for the year, sending shares lower at the opening bell.
