After spending 25 years in an old post office building in Campbell, a local Montessori school is moving to a campus in the Cambrian Park area of San Jose.Casa di Mir Montessori’s new location at 1975 Cambrianna Ave. is a former school site and is currently home to a California Sports Center. The Montessori school is set to begin holding classes there in the 2024-25 school year.“Our lease for the new space begins in July 2024,” says Megan Shumate, director of marketing and development for the private school, which enrolls preschoolers through eighth-graders. “This move is historic for us because it gives us a more permanent home in the South Bay.”In anticipation of the lease for the old post office coming to an end, school staff formed a committee to search for a new site. While Casa di Mir Montessori has been located in the South Bay for over 35 years, it’s been a while since all its students have been under one roof.“Currently, we have a split campus in Campbell,” Shumate says. “Ou...Las 10 series más populares de Netflix este 2023

PARIS (AP) — Brest is proving the surprise team in the French league this season and moved provisionally up to fourth place after winning 2-0 at Nantes on Sunday.Brest’s fourth win in the past five games left Lille needing at least a draw at home to leader Paris Saint-Germain later Sunday to reclaim fourth spot. PSG could move seven points clear with a win.Led by influential passer Pierre Lees-Melou, Brest scored in quick succession early in the second half through midfielder Hugo Magnetti and Benin striker Steve Mounié following a corner. Before the game, Nantes fans held a minute’s silence for a supporter from the Brigade Loire ultras group who died after being stabbed before a home game against Nice on Dec. 2. His face was projected on the stadium’s big screen at Stade de la Beaujoire and Nantes players warmed up with his name — Maxime — written on their training tops. Before the game, his name was also carried on a giant banner held by Brigade Loire ultras and ot...¿Compras navideñas de último momento? (NEXSTAR) – Renters may finally catch a break next year. Of the 100 cities analyzed in Zumper's Annual Rent Report, which was released this week, 55 have seen rent prices drop since last year. An additional 17 are flat year-over-year. The report predicts rent prices will keep "softening," at least through the first half of 2024. Part of the reason for dropping prices, according to Zumper, is a recent increase in supply, as new apartment buildings and complexes keep opening in fast-growing cities. Real-time data providers like Zillow and ApartmentList also show rent growth for new apartments tumbling.Nationwide, the cost of renting a one-bedroom dropped by a tenth of a percent in 2023, Zumper reports, but is expected to drop by larger margins in 2024 in cities where supply has caught up with demand. Sun Belt cities, from Phoenix to Austin to Orlando, have all seen one-bedroom rents drop between 5% and 11%. Inflation or deflation? Israel stepped up its military offensive in Gaza on Sunday even as international pressure increased to find a peaceful solution to the conflict with the Hamas militant group. Hamas-run local authorities in the Gaza Strip said that between a bombing in the Jabalia refugee camp and the strikes in the town of Deir al-Balah, some 40 people had been killed in the enclave on Sunday. The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that Israeli forces carried out “a targeted raid on Hamas’ Deir al-Balah Battalion post and seized intelligence materials.” The Israeli army also said anti-rocket sirens sounded in the communities near the Gaza Strip and in the northern town of Margaliot, near the border with Lebanon.“We will fight until the end. We will achieve all of our aims — eliminating Hamas, freeing all our hostages and ensuring that Gaza will not again become a center for terrorism,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday.A World Health Organization team that visited Gaza’s lar...Latest news
