SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On Wednesday morning, the New York State Police Underwater Recovery Team recovered the body of a deceased male in the Mohawk River. Liszewski was reported missing and was believed to have been last seen on April 8 in Schenectady. An autopsy is expected to be conducted on Thursday. DOVER, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On April 22, Environmental Conservation Officer Wamsley received a call from the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office about a bear being shot. Police were responding to a report of shots fired when they observed a subject dragging a bear back to his home. According to ECO Wamsley, the story did not match up with the physical evidence. ECO Wamsley concluded the subject's dog went after the bear and the subject followed, before shooting and killing the bear.The homeowner was issued several tickets including taking a bear out of season, illegal take of protected wildlife, and hunting/taking a protected animal without a license. COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On April 21, a Troy man was arrested following a menacing complaint made on April 9. The suspect, Ramar J. Martin, 37, was charged with Stalking, two counts of Criminal Contempt, Menacing, Reckless Endangerment, Reckless Endangerment of Property, and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. According to the police, a victim had made a walk-in complaint at around 1:52 a.m. on April 9, saying they had been menaced with what appeared to be a firearm on State Route 7 in Colonie. Investigations determined that Martin had followed the victim and attempted to force them off the roadway. Martin then attempted to stop the victim's vehicle by blocking their travel lane. He then allegedly exited his vehicle and brandished and pointed a handgun at the victim. WARRENSBURG, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Warren County woman has been accused of stealing money from an elderly person. New York State Police said Jennifer Winter, 36, of Warrensburg, was arrested on April 22. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! In February, troopers received a report from an elderly resident in Warren County reporting fraudulent bank and credit card activity. After an investigation, police found that Winter, who is known to the victim, allegedly used the victim’s credit card multiple times without their permission. Winter is also accused of cashing a fraudulent check written to her from the victim’s bank account.In total, Winter is accused of stealing over $8,000. She was charged with third-degree grand larceny.
