ST. LOUIS - There's a chance you might see crowds of first responders and hear some unusual noises Thursday at Busch Stadium. There won't be a Cardinals game that day, but several hours of counter-terrorism training at the ballpark. A large-scale counter-terrorism exercise is scheduled for later this week at Busch Stadium. Federal, state and local authorities, plus private-sector partners, will participate in the exercise, which is offered through The Readiness Lab. In case you missed it last week, a truck driver using GPS during an I-70 road closure in Glenwood Canyon tried to navigate his 18-wheeler over Gunnison County Road 3 — which so happens to be the “steep, rocky, four-wheel-drive route” that is used to get to Crystal Mill, the famed Colorado landmark, according to an article Friday in the Aspen Daily News.The truck was on State Highway 133, which goes from Hotchkiss to Carbondale, when the driver turned on CR 3 heading to the town of Marble. From there, it attempted a road along the Crystal River that is only used by four-wheel-drive vehicles. A person struck by a driver while crossing Evans Avenue mid-block Monday evening has died, Denver police said Tuesday.The crash happened about 7:30 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Evans Avenue and Ogden Street, Denver police said in a post on X.UPDATE: The pedestrian in this crash has been pronounced deceased. At this time, it appear the pedestrian was crossing Evans mid-block when struck by the motorist traveling westbound. Los Angeles Fire Department crews are responding Tuesday morning after the Metro A Line lost power in downtown Los Angeles.The Metro line — a light rail that runs from Azusa to Long Beach — lost power around 9:35 a.m. and around 200 people were on a train when it went out, LAFD spokesman Nicolas Prange told KTLA.Firefighters were helping people off the train and no injuries have been reported. Metro officials are providing a bus between Pico and Union Station and will try to initiate power once the tracks are cleared. Fire officials first reported the Red Line -- now the B Line -- was affected, but Metro officials later clarified that line was not affected. A person is dead after they crashed while driving a golf cart in La Quinta Monday evening.The single-vehicle crash occurred just after 6 p.m. at Trilogy Parkway and Desert Rose Drive, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.The cause of the collision remains under investigation, but the unidentified driver was pronounced dead at the scene."At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision," officials said in the release.Anyone with information is asked to call Deputy Moore at 760-863-8990.'Blue Beetle' benefits from $4 movie tickets on National Cinema Day
