(CNN) — A 21-year-old woman with a heart condition is dead after consuming a heavily caffeinated energy drink at Panera Bread that she may have believed was regular lemonade, her parents alleged in a wrongful death suit against the restaurant chain. In September 2022, after drinking “Charged Lemonade,” Sarah Katz experienced cardiac arrest while at a restaurant with friends and died after being transported to the hospital and suffering a second arrest, according to the lawsuit, which was filed Monday morning in Philadelphia.Katz’s parents are seeking compensatory and punitive damages.“We were very saddened to learn this morning about the tragic passing of Sarah Katz, and our hearts go out to her family,” Panera told CNN in a statement. “At Panera, we strongly believe in transparency around our ingredients. What does that mean for the Chicago Bulls?

The deadline to sign a rookie contract extension passed Monday without Patrick Williams and the Chicago Bulls striking a deal. What does that mean as the former No. 4 draft pick enters the fourth and final year of his contract?Williams has been a complicated figure for the Bulls since they selected him in the first round of the 2020 draft. After a promising rookie year, his growth was slowed by a season-ending wrist injury in his sophomore season. There have been bright spots in Williams’ progression — a building role as a defensive leader, his 41.4% accuracy from behind the 3-point arc. But his relatively moderate production (averaging 10.2 points, four rebounds and 1.2 assists last season) has been a point of emphasis — and contention — for the Bulls.Still, Williams remains a valuable piece of the puzzle for the Bulls — both as a key player in the starting lineup and as a potential trade asset if this season doesn’t shake the status quo.Ahead of ...Mayor says West Maui to reopen to tourism on Nov. 1 after fire and workers are ready to return

HONOLULU (AP) — All of West Maui except for burned-out sections of historic Lahaina will reopen to tourism on Nov. 1 following the deadliest U.S. wildfire in more than century, the mayor of Maui County said Monday. Mayor Richard Bissen said he made the move after talking about it with his Lahaina advisory team, the Red Cross and other partners.West Maui has about 11,000 hotel rooms, or about half of Maui’s total. Travelers evacuated those hotels after the Aug. 8 fire raged through Lahaina town, killing at least 99 people and destroying more than 2,000 buildings. Hawaii Gov. Josh Green last month declared West Maui would officially reopen to tourism on Oct. 8 to bring back badly needed jobs and help the economy recover. Bissen modified the governor’s declaration with a phased plan, allowing a small section on the northern edge of West Maui to open first with the rest to follow at an undetermined date. The community has had an impassioned debate about when to welcome travelers b...García powers Rangers to first World Series since 2011 with 11-4 rout of Astros in Game 7 of ALCS
